1. Abstract
The Sovereignty Protocol is a Layer 2 zkRollup solution designed to ensure privacy-preserving Decentralized Identity (DID) creation, management, and verification. Built on Polygon's Miden, a high-throughput zkRollup framework for private applications, Sovereignty Protocol aims to address core Web3 challenges such as secure decentralized identities, privacy-centric applications, and equitable governance.
The protocol leverages Layer 0 interoperability, enabling communication across 99+ blockchain networks for seamless messaging, smart contract execution, and asset transfer. Furthermore, it integrates upcoming StwoProver ZKProof engine being developed by Starware to enable client-side zkProof generation for highly efficient and minimal identity verification.
The Sovereignty Protocol includes the DID Wallet (www.didwallet.in), a multi-functional wallet with capabilities for identity management, DeFi, and Web3. DID Wallet ensures that users retain ownership of their data, determining what is shared publicly and privately, in alignment with W3C DID standards.
By enabling handheld devices to function as nodes, the Sovereignty Protocol introduces a new era of decentralized infrastructure, empowering users to actively participate in network consensus while fostering scalable and equitable governance.
